This product does not work correctly with my Hyundai Sonata 2009 when connecting the USB to my iPod Touch 2nd Gen. The AUX part works but the USB does not allow me to control the iPod from the stereo system as a friend of mine does with her Hyundai branded cable. It does sound better than a simple AUX to AUX cable did.

The plug is much thicker than the Apple connector, making it difficult or impossible to fit in certain cases. The audio out gives a pretty noisy signal. I tried turning the gain down on my system but the ringing was too much so I just unplugged it. Don't expect much out of the audio.

I got this a month or so ago for my iPod touch 3G, and it seemed like it was great at first. The charging portion seems to work fine, and the audio worked fine at first. But then while music was playing it suddenly quit. I checked the iPod and it was still charging, but acting like there was no audio connection, if I hit play again it just played from the iPod. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it was fine again. It does this all the time, completely randomly. I've driven for over an hour with no problem, and I've turned the car on, hit play and had it quit 5 seconds later. I've given up on using it now, having to disconnect the cable and then reconnect it while driving just isn't really an option some of the time, not to mention just being irritating to be listening to a song only to have it abruptly stop.
This would have been 5 stars if it weren't for this, but as it is it's basically useless to me.

I was happy to find a cable this long for my iPhone and got two - one for home and one for work. Charging with the power adapter seems straightforward enough but my problems lie when I plug it into iTunes on my Macbook at home and my iMac at work. It constantly disconnects the device from iTunes without me ejecting it and checking the charge status on the iPhone shows that it is no longer charging. I would have to unplug it and plug it back in to be recognized by iTunes. At times it would disconnect while syncing and that can be really annoying. I thought it was just one of the cables at first but I tried both using the same computer and the same problems arose. The search for a better cable begins.
 Works great with an iPhone 4 WITHOUT the Bumper Case!!! August 26, 2010

It works perfectly fine with a iPhone 4 but if you have the Bumper case then the 30 pin connector will NOT attach;the connector is to thick vertically. I had to grind down the top and the bottom for the connector to clear the opening in the bumper case. Luckily, the width of the connector does not need to be modified as it has the latch release buttons!!
