Excellent product. I can charge my iphone, pda, bluetooth headset, all with this one battery pack. It will fully charge the iphone, and will charge while plugged in to AC power as well. Great for travel. I travel to Haiti and often don't have power, even in hotels. This meets the need. I can go a couple of days if necessary without AC power to plug in.

I spent this summer doing the train and bus backpacking thing through Europe, and I took this with me to keep my Motorola Droid charged. I should probably explain that in Europe, I can't use my Droid as a phone since it's CDMA, but it didn't prevent me from using it as a camera, GPS navigator, electronic communication device (when connected to wifi), ebook reader, travel map, travel guide, offline Wikipedia reader, etc. etc.
To me, my Droid was indispensable on this trip... and therefore so was this battery! Since I ended up using my phone for so many hours a day, and because I wasn't always able to get to a power plug at night time (like on night trains) I was able to keep this battery charged and ready to go to keep my Droid juiced up.
This battery was worth every penny. After two solid months of use, I haven't noticed any degradation in how long it takes to charge it or how long it can charge a device. I routinely got three full charges of my phone (from 20-30% battery all the way up to 100%) from this battery... I probably could have gotten more, but I never let it run down more than that.
This battery is only slightly larger than my phone, so I was able to actually slip it in my backpack or cargo pants pocket with my phone and keep them plugged in together to charge during the day while I was walking around, if I needed to.
Other things I used it for--plugging into a USB hub, then plugging several USB devices (my Droid, and my traveling companion's Kindle and iPod Touch.) They charged more slowly than they would have otherwise, but if you're just going to leave them charge overnight, it works great!
Also, you can charge through this device. I can plug it into the wall to charge, and then I can plug my phone into it, so that both the battery and my phone would charge at the same time. If you've ever been in Europe, you probably are familiar with the fact that most power outlets only have one outlet (instead of the standard American two outlet plugs) so it was REALLY nice to be able to charge both the battery and my phone at the same time!
Overall, I can't recommend this highly enough. It saved me so many times while traveling, and I was able to keep my GPS on my Droid on and running while I was on trains (which was great for not missing my stops! Don't laugh--I didn't bother with the GPS once, and my traveling companion misread a sign at a station that we'd pulled into, and next thing we knew we'd overshot our stop by a half hour. That wouldn't have happened if I'd just left the darn GPS running.)

I would like to say I purchased the imp 500p back in November and found the product very useful with my iphone 3GS with my usage of the phone the stock battery last a couple of hours with this unit I get a full day of fun with my phone plus some also I had a charging problem with the unit 4 months of the purchase and New Trent stood by there product and replaced the unit with no hassle all I can say is this company has an excellent product and they stand by it. Thanks again New Trent

Not long after upgrading to Apple iPhone 3gs's in December 2009, my wife and I, immediately knew that the phone's battery life wasn't adequate for our needs. We immediately started a search for an external battery for our 3gs's that would meet our requirements. After reading many reviews, we both decided to purchase an IMP500 from New Trent. We have been extremely satisfied with the additional power the IMP500 provides. We even use it to juice up our other gadgets, like our Apple iPod Nanos, and my PSP and Magellan GPS. It's a wonderful product, and we've recommended it to all of our friends.

I bought my IMP500 several months ago and my whole family loves the product! The IMP500 can power many different products such as Nintendo DS Lite, Gameboy, or a Ipod Touch to name a few. This is a very long life solid power pack. It usually lasts for days of intermittent use without needing to be recharged. I share the power pack with my son who uses it for his Nintendo DS Lite and his IPod Touch and my wife who uses it for her phone. This is a very versatile product with a lot of power in it. The indicator lights tell you how much juice is left and flash when you recharge the power pack. The on/off switch insures you don't accidentally discharge the power pack. I have no complaints about this product and would highly recommend it.
