 Decent battery at a great price September 2, 2010

I'm a college student and inherited my father's Inspiron 1520. I knew it was about time for a new battery after it would only last for about 10 minutes without being plugged in. (It was mostly plugged in and used as a Desktop rather than a travel notebook.) While running only Firefox, this battery will last about 4 hours, which I find pretty good for the price I paid for it. I'd rather not spend over $100 dollars for one DELL battery, so this was perfect for me. The only complaint that I have is that the battery sticks out about an inch past the Laptop itself, and it looks somewhat strange; however, the only reason it sticks out is because this battery is a 9 CELL and the original DELL battery is a 6 CELL.

First off, as a reasonably priced replacement for a 3 year old laptop, I can't complain.
However, I find it very annoying that they say "meet or exceeds original battery." It doesn't do either.
I had a nine cell dell battery with my inspiron 1720. It fits and works great as a replacement, however it does not last near as long. First off the original battery was 85 wh (watt hours), and this is only 73.
After conditioning the battery, it still does not last as long as my dell battery did.
Like I said, it is still good as a replacement for an old laptop. I was only getting about 20 min. on my dead dell battery. So anything is a great improvement. Just don't trust that it will meet OR exceed your original battery performance.

The old battery with my Dell Inspiron 1521 can only hold 30 minutes of charge. With this replacement battery at balanced mode setting, I'm getting about 5 hours battery life. I'm very satisfied with this battery, and the price couldn't be better. Dell charges for their ridiculous prices for a replacement battery and I will for sure buy from this vendor again next time.

This battery has been working just fine for me. What I am particularly pleased about is that it costs a fraction of the original batteries on the manufacturers' website. It came fully charged, I simply had to plug it in and was good to go. I have had absolutely no issues with this product so far, and I like that! Zero nonsense product that works as advertised.

This replacement battery works extremely well, and is a bargain compared to the original batteries being sold by manufacturers at a rip-off price. I have been using this battery for almost 2 months now and it works just as well as the original Dell battery that came with my laptop. Couldn't be more pleased with a purchase. Don't waste your time or money on Dell batteries, this is the one to get!
