I bought one of these four months ago. It was always a little looser than the OEM plug, but it worked fine until recently. Now it refuses to make contact and charge the computer. Likely a bad solder or crimp in the plug, but really no way to fix it, so I'm back to shop for a different brand.

Seemed to work fine... charged laptop fully. Unplugged it and used the laptop for a bit. Went back to plug it in, no longer charges. The light on the adaptor doesn't light and the laptop doesn't recognize it. Hard to believe it fried after 1 use. Returning it.

I purposely waited 2 months to see how this worked and so far I have been pleasantly surprised with how well this works! The battery charges just about the same time it took with the DELL adapter or may be even faster, the laptop runs well both charged on battery or plugged in. So fat it has been an excellent buy.
I should note a good point about this one as well vs the one from DELL, I used to get frequent sparks at the plug when I plugged in the DELL adapter (may be thats why it does not work anymore), no such thing with this one. Works perfectly from day 1.

I ordered this charger on Monday night and received it on Thursday. Fast delivery! It fits my Inspiron 1420 perfect and is charging just fine. I am a little concerned that the charger feels very warm. I will keep an eye on that and def won't leave it plugged in when i'm not home. Hopefully, it works out great b/c it was so much cheaper than a DELL charger.

This is an excellent product, from a great company. Shipment arrived before scheduled time. This is actually the second replacement power cord, (i bought the first one somewhere else). With this one, my computer is actually getting fully recharged. I don't have to keep it plugged in to use it. Would certainly do business with them again.
