The battery was delivered earlier than promised. It didn't fit into the computer quite as smoothly as the original, but it got there. However, battery life is disappointing -- a little over an hour to full exhaustion in a Dell E1705, even though I routinely run it to exhaustion before recharging.
But it's cheaper than a lot of competing products, and better than having a dead battery.
 Initial Impressions of Battery Performance (and Shipping) August 26, 2010

I'm posting only initial impressions here since I just received this battery.
I ordered the battery via Amazon.com from seller eznsmart. Paid $37 plus $1.99 for expedited shipping. The battery was ordered on August 22 and received on August 25 (shipping from California to Texas). That's great shipping time for a non-Prime item. I mention shipping time in this review simply to offset the other reviewer who expressed displeasure at long shipping times and gave the battery poor marks because of that. I had no trouble with the shipping. I have to say I never quite understand it when buyers give a product bad marks just because of shipping delays -- that kind of thing should be a mark against the seller but not the product.
Upon receiving the battery, I charged it up fully and fired up the laptop (Dell Inspiron 9300, not known for long run time on a single charge, even with OEM batteries). I allowed the laptop to drain the battery down fully, following the initial conditioning procedures recommended by the seller in the small instructions booklet that came with the battery.
I timed the battery drain until a forced a shutdown and I got 3 hours 55 minutes out of the first charge (very good for the Dell Inspiron 9300). Theoretically, the drain time ought to take longer after the first few charges of the battery, so my guess is that I'll easily be able to get over 4 hours use per charge, depending on the nature of the use. But, almost 4 hours on the first charge seems very good.
I'll have to re-evaluate after I've been using the battery for a a significant period of time and see how charge time holds up then. For now, I'm giving the battery a solid review and a 5-star rating based on price and initial performance. If performance lags in the near term, I'll update my review with that info.

I bought this item a few weeks ago. Standard shipping took only a few days. Battery performs much better than the factory model from Dell. I followed instructions included with the battery in order to "calibrate" it. It just involves charging fully and discharging fully 4 or 5 times. My new battery now lasts for close to 4 hours with minimal use (internet browsing and word processing). I'm very happy with the product so far. Not sure about the perfomance of this battery long-term, but my Dell is already more than 5 years old. I plan to replace it soon anyway. For the price, this battery was an excellent purchase.
Good Battery So Far July 31, 2010

I have had this battery over 2 months and so far it has performed just as the factory battery. I leave it unplugged a couple of times a week and get apx 3 hours usage with it on the meter. I havent actually timed it but it is multiple hours. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is time, I want to give it a few more month to see how it performs. The factory battery I had for almost 4 years so time will tell.
